He brought the community together through his love, involvement and organisation of many sports. Charlie was such a great influence to us all in Blarney growing up, how blessed were we. May he rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to the Lynch and Shine families on the loss of Charlie. Charlie was a great community man, giving his time and energy to the children of the parish for many years. I remember him at the Community Games on a miserable, cold, wet Saturday at the county finals, waiting patiently with me for hours between the heat and the final of the U 10 girls 200m, making sure I stayed dry and warm. And of course Charlie had the same response, win, lose or draw, a warm smile and a "well done." Rest in peace Charlie.
