Charlotte Savill

I met Charlotte for the first time just over a year ago, you know when you meet someone for the first time and can instantly tell this person is different? A person that is truly one of a kind? A person where you can clearly see their individualism and they stick with you, for a while, even when you aren’t necessarily close to them, you never truly forget them for it.

I can view it in two ways. I had wish I’d known her sooner or I am just thankful for knowing her but that’s selfish of me. The world lost something on August 24th 2024, bigger than life itself.

Charlotte may have lost this battle but she won the war, something that tried killing her could never do so. Her spirit, heart and lust for life lives through us all that had the privilege of getting to know her and nothing can kill that.

Rest in Peace Charlotte, no doubt you are laughing at us from above.

I found out today, via Lauren, about Charlotte. I can’t tell you how deeply shocked and saddened I am, as is she. I obviously knew how ill Charlotte was through talking to Patrick as he went through his A level year, and to Ruth as well, but I still can’t quite believe it. I’m so, so sorry.
It was a privilege to teach Tom and Patrick, to tutor Patrick and to get to know your family over the years, ever since SMA. I’m just so devastated for you all that this has happened.

Sleep tight, darling Charlotte. You're no longer in pain, and you'll be in everybody's hearts and minds forever. I'll always remember that hilarious cackle and smile whenever you were round at our house and how amazing of a friend you were to Nanda. I hope I can bring some of that infectious positivity with me. I was deeply saddened to hear about Charlotte’s passing. Although I didn’t know her personally, I’ve heard how much she meant to so many people. It’s clear that she touched countless lives with her vibrant personality, kindness and warmth. My heart goes out to her family and wide circle of friends during this incredibly difficult time.
