I will never forget how Chris welcomed me to Ireland 43 years ago guiding me through life and business. A true gentleman and indeed Doyen of the Irish wine trade. Sincere sympathy to Anne, Joanne and the Donoghue family. RIP Chris.

Jeanette were deeply saddened by Chris' death. I have known Chris since his first day in Grants, Clonmel, around 45 years ago.We worked together for many years in the wine business and , more relaxingly , in recent years played golf together frequently. A Galway man to his fingertips and a great man to argue with. We will miss him, but cannot even guess at how much Joanne and Anne will miss him. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
