Mairéad and David - my heartfelt sympathy to you on the passing of your beloved Chris, far before his time. I was fortunate to meet him on a few occasions over the years and he was a gentleman in every sense of the word. My thoughts and prayers are with you in these really difficult times, and also with Dan, Mary and the Coakley family and Chris's cousins and friends. May memories of better times provide some comfort to you in your enormous loss.

Very sorry to hear about Christopher’s passing. My sympathies to his family.
He was, as many have said, a very gentle soul.

Mairéad and David. I am sincerely saddened for Chris's loss and I wish you both all strength at this time. I was in the same class as Chris in the AG at the North Mon. He was a good soul and up for a laugh. I'm over here in Australia for quite some time but when I go home I still walk past his old house at McSwiney Villa's and think on him and his parents. Sincere condolences to Máireád and David and all the family. Knew Christopher for 12 years in school. Half the lads in the class had nicknames, Jumpy, Dracula, Spooky and so on. We never, or hardly ever, called one another by our given names, it was either a nickname or a surname, and the teachers called us by our Irish names. But we were a close knit class who looked out for one another and laughed far more than we should have and it is good to picture Christopher in those many memories. So Chris was Criostóir also but regardless of the name, he was always a gent. Glad he 'fell in' with such a strong family who gave such a touching send off. Requiescat in pace.
