I have known Chris for the last 40 years during which time I have enjoyed the privilege of his friendship, support and encouragement as a friend and colleague in our time together in the IITD and elsewhere. Chris was very knowledgeable, intelligent and a very kind gentleman who will be remembered by many for his belief in the importance of empowering people and by many more whose own lives were empowered as a result of having come into contact with him. Very saddened to hear of the passing of my fond colleague and friend, Dear Chris. He was an absolute gentleman and a gentle person, in every sense. He was so knowledgeable in all aspects of Learning & Development, both practically and theoretically and, influenced many lives.

Chris loved his students and was so proud of our achievements.
Chris had a wonderful laugh and made adult learning fun, he gave me back a love of learning.

A former President of the Institute, he was a man of great intellect, ahead of his time in bringing learning and development professionals a new and innovative perspective on people development and introducing the principles of neuroscience to organisations before it became mainstream. He educated hundreds of students on behalf of the Institute over the years, many of whom still reference him in their practice. Chris's legacy lives on in organisations all across the country.
