Dear Jan and Jim and family
It is with great shock and sadness that I heard today of the very tragic passing of Chris while with Andreana. I remember collecting him from primary school both in larkhill and in marino when I looked after the children during 2 summers back in the 80's. Those summers were times of great happiness and it was so lovely to spend time with your great close knit family. I wish you all peace and strength to get through this immensely difficult sad period. RIP Chris.

I was so saddened to hear about your loss of Chris. My memories of him are so fond - when I was so often (probably too often!) welcomed in the family home in Griffith Court. He was so kind and generous to a very awkward young teenager, and was so kind to share his precious vinyl with me so that I could improve my taste in music! To the Barry family and friends, its with a heavy heart to even have write a condolence about Chris, gone way too soon.
I happened to share primary school with Chris and later on spent our years in Rosmini school, were sharing music and swapping tapes of bands he introduced me too. From school hostel and hiking trips, to the big trip to Russia, that was a life changing experience.

We kept in contact over the years, sharing meet ups with old school buddies, Geoff, Liam, Damien and Martin. It seems when someone you know, the same age, has passed, it hits hard, a wonderful musician and singer, may his soul rest well, sending love from Sweden, I am sorry I cannot be there to say goodbye.

I would like to express my sincerest condolences to Rhoda and all the Barry family on the passing of Chris on behalf of the Larkin family and all the staff at Larkins, Edenderry. He was an absolute gentleman and a pleasure to know. Apologies that I cannot make the funeral.

Deepest condolences to all of Christian's family. Christian and I arrived in Scoil Mhuire, Marino, on the same day in 1982. He was a pupil and I was his teacher. He was a lovely young lad. He was quiet and I never would have guessed that there was a budding musician, waiting to emerge. But he was very bright, and mature beyond his years.
