I chatted to Chris for the first time outside Dolan's Newsagent about 46 years ago and discovered that Shane and Paul were the same age. Chris drove a lovely duckegg blue fiat car then.
Chris was always very friendly and it was lovely to chat with her on the way in or out of Griffith Court.

Condolences to Caroline, Shane, Gavin, Tara & all the Mahon family.
Chris was always very kind to me as a child but I hadn’t seen her in years until our paths crossed again in Cara. The last time I saw Chris, I was visiting my mam. It was during the final tough weeks of mam’s life and I was feeling heavy & sad. I walked in to the dining room just as Chris was leaving. She stopped & we had a quick chat and she gave me a big hug. Such a heartwarming hug and just when I needed it the most.

Thinking of you all at this sad time on the loss of your mam the legend Chris Mahon. Celebrate her life, laugh and tell the stories... There are so many. Thanks Chris for always opening the door so I could go straight to the stairs up to Car's bedroom! I learnt a lot from you as a mother and I am forever grateful. My deepest condolences to Tara, Caroline, Gavin & Shane. Also thinking of Gerard.
