The romantic love between Chrissie and Hilary was visible to the end. Her enthusiastic and animated hospitality twoards their many visitors was renouned. She was the base which allowed Hilary to gain a reputation as the best bacon curer in Ireland, providing him with a beautiful warm welcoming home and a family of children into whom she liberally injected moral carachter, intelligence and exuberance. My mother, Carmel, my Children Andy and Lily and niece Isabella looked forward to lively visits and stories of the rare ould times.
May she rest in peace.

There was always a welcome on the mat for me in Gracedieu where I spent lots of time reminiscing about the O’Toole family. Chris always had time for a smirk and a chat. Chris was a great help to me in a time of need many years ago. Her no nonsense, practical approach to the situation at hand was just what was required at the time. She had the group in the stitches with some some of her one liners. "A kick in the ass is never to far from a pat on the back" is one I remember. I bumped into her quite s few times in the years since and her salutation invariably was " well, are you behavin yourself". Chris was an absolute gem. My sincere condolences to all of the family. Rest easy Chris.

To David ,Christopher, Brian, Mary , please except my heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy on the passing of ' aunty chrissy ' my mothers oldest dearest friend from school , both now together again laughing their hearts out, gossiping over a cuppa or something stronger. There was never a dull moment in our kitchen when chrissy arrived in , mam would take one look at her and ask " well.. how are things in glokamorra""? And chrissy would begin with the legendary smirk and " aww Jesus wait til i tell ya " and the hand extended out for effect , we'd just smile. Her never ending wit and of course her puttin the 'curse of the 7 snotty orphans on people who annoyed her, and her famous line " they'd give ya a pain where ya never had a window" She was one in a million , her style, her humour and loud husky laugh will never be forgotten, rest well chrissy , god bless.
