I was fortunate enough to not only call Dinny my aunt, but also my godmother. I have many memories of Dinny, every significant childhood memory I possess has her in it. From Saturday trips to Bettystown, to playing horsey outside a mobile home on holiday in lahinch. She was the person I gave my art to, the person I sat with many a Saturday afternoon at the kitchen table in Fort lawn putting the world to right. There was never a birthday or Christmas that went by without a card from her and I will forever cherish the charm bracelet she gave me. She was an amazing aunty, but the love and kindness she always showed her great nieces and nephews was beautiful. Holly and charlie loved her. Loved getting her cards and going to see her and getting chocolate Swiss rolls.

I am grateful to have had such a person in my life and that my kids got to experience her love too. I'll miss you Dinny

She was a major part of my life growing up. I will never forget the night we were sharing ghost stories around nanas table. And Dinny wore a crucifix, and the cross broke away from the chain. For no reason. Me, Jess and Dinny were stunned and quickly changed the subject. But that moment, gave me the belief I needed, to know that we will all be together again, sitting around that table, Dinny in her seat drinking a warm can of harp! Until then Aunty Dinny, I love and miss you x
