To Mary, Philip Suzanne Niall and all the Grandchildren, we are so saddened to hear of the passing of Chris, he served with us on the Port. Senior Citizens committee for the past couple of years, and was a great asset to us. We will miss him so much always smiling and no task was to big for him, he will be sadly missed at our Christmas dinner and for his fund raising skills this year. Rest in peace Chris you were a true gentleman.

I got to know Chris back in the day when he worked as a bus driver for CIE on the 42B bus.Along with Colman Mc Donagh (my brother in law) as his conductor.Myself+my friend Rita regularly got their bus to+from work as we both worked in the city centre.To say it was an experience is an understatement,the craic we had was ninty.I continued to get to know more of Chris+his family thereafter as Colman married my twin sister Maureen+their friendship continued on down through the years.Chris was so full of life+always a joy to be around.To sum him up 'he was sunshine in a human form'.

Gone way to soon,thinking of his family at this sad+difficult time.May he rest in peace.🌹

So very sad to hear the news about Christy. I was lucky enough to work with him and it was always a pleasure to speak with him, even if I was ringing him to track down a 126 bus gone astray ! He was simply a gentleman, always so happy and just a joy to be around. We will never forget him in Bus Éireann. My Sincere Sympathies to all of Chris's dear family.
