So sorry to hear this news. Chris was a lovely man with a great sense of humour, was always generous and a wise and warm soul. He will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear of Chris' passing. He was always friendly, one of those people that seemed to know everyone and everything happening around him, and would always seek to use this knowledge to help and support those around him. Rest in Peace Chris, I wish it hadn't been so long since we last crossed paths.

Very sad to hear of Chris' passing, I will never forget his helping with my son's illness, a gentle and kind person, one only had to ask and it was done. We will miss you.

Dank dir habe ich so viele liebe Menschen in Irland und die Faszination deiner Heimat kennen gelernt und so viel über Elektronik gelernt! Ich werde die langen Gespräche in Lacken über Musik nie vergessen! Du warst immer so unendlich hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich zu mir und meinen Freunden, hast uns dein Haus etliche Male einfach so bewohnen lassen, du hast nur gesagt, dort ist der Schlüssel versteckt, viel Spaß. Du hast unserer Familie sofort geholfen wie wir große Probleme mit der Krankheit meines Vaters hatten. Das vergesse ich Dir niemals! Ich war geschockt als ich die Nachricht von Deinem plötzlichen Tod hörte und bin sehr traurig dich nie wieder sehen zu können. Deine Mutter war für uns immer "Supergran" aus dem Ort mit dem langen Namen, jetzt bist du wieder bei ihr. Du hast in unseren Herzen einen festen Platz, die Gedanken an dich werden uns immer mit einem Lächeln begleiten. Ruhe in Frieden, my friend.

I'm sad to hear that Chris passed away. He was a good guy with always plenty of ideas. I'll remember someone generous and happy to spend some time with you. My condolences to his family.

Our deepest sadness to the untimely passing of Chris . We were all looking forward to seeing him more often back in Ireland after his extended work in Saudi and Qatar.

Working together at Al Jazeera over the last three years (and previously in RTÉ) I saw and felt first hand Chris's tremendous generosity both in thought and in deed. I just can't believe I'll never again hear that wonderful kind and authoritative voice with his unique brand of humour always just below the surface. He was a good friend, wise counsel and above all one of life's gentlemen.

On behalf of the Buhidma family, I'd like to send my deepest condolences to Chris's family which we consider ourselves part of.
We had the honour of having him around to fill our lives with happiness, joy and laughter.
He was there for my son Moe when he was at the bottom of the pit. He held him strong and pushed him to work through those rough days. We are forever grateful for the hand he had in picking our son up and helping us in the long run to not be worried sick about our son.
I hope God rests his gracious soul in peace and may he forever be remembered for all the good and happiness he had done to people's lives and especially ours.
You are already missed Chris and you will always be remembered.

Chris was the most kind, generous, considerate, thoughtful and helpful man. So many happy times together spent full of stories, drinks and laughter. Chris will be sorely missed by us all and taken too soon, my deepest condolences to Chris’s family.

I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear about Chris’s news.
We will certainly miss his emails when he used to write to us to ask for his favorite Aisle Seat on his way back home from Doha.
I was also glad to know that he was happy when we had specially flown his favorite coffee blend/recipe from Etihad Lounge at Dublin Airport to Doha to surprise him with a special cup at my office..

Chris will be sadly missed. He was such a great person, he was offering help without asking for, he has a big heart . He was honest, caring, funny, and hard working. I had a great time with him in Sony MEA and during difficult times of AJWT project. I still not believe that he left us suddenly . Rest in Peace my friend, you are in safe hand now.

I have known Chris for a long time. He was generous to a fault. I only wish he had been kinder to himself. I accepted him as he was but I don't know if he realised this. He lived life to the full and dealt with his sickness on his terms. Stubborn, but maybe he was right. We went on some fun road trips with work. To me, Chris was Chris. I enjoyed his conversation , enthusiasm and mad ideas, but that is what made him interesting and never boring!! He was always on the move and had amazing stamina, so I am glad he did not suffer or become too incapacitated for a long period of time. I'll miss you Chris. It's like the end of an era or chapter in my life.

A light of common sense, decency, fair play and fun has been taken from us way too early. Rest in Peace my friend. Condolences to Chris's family.

Chris will be sadly missed. He was such a great fella. He was honest, caring, funny, hard working, and talented. I had a great time getting to know him in work and over pints in Doha. Nobody had a bad word to say about him. He put everybody first. He will be missed by us all.
