Sincere condolences on the sad passing of Christy. My thoughts are with Bridie, his sons and daughters, grandkids, extended family and to his many friends. It was such a lovely farewell mass which he would be so proud of.

Number 6&7 Rockfield Park was like one big Devlin house for much of my life.
Christy was always great to us all growing up there, and I've very fond memories of him making us laugh as kids.

He'd always look out for you and be the first to offer help if he could. He was a true gentleman with great stories and jokes. He had a wonderfully kind nature and left everyone a little happier after meeting him.
Christy will always be in our hearts.

We have such fond memories of Christy growing up in St. Teresa’s and all the stories and laughter he brought with him from his tea breaks with dad, mother in law jokes with Nana, and the nights out dancing with Mam and Dad & the crew, the memories will live on forever. Sending love and condolences to Bridie and all the Devlin family. Christy was always a legend in the Doyle household in Kilmac, and we adored him. He was also my godfather and never forgot that. I learned a lot from him growing up – how to be kind, work hard, tell stories and that you didn’t need drink to have a laugh. Thinking of you all through these hard times, he will be dearly missed but what a life and legacy he led.

Growing up in number 6 – Christy was a huge part of our lives. His door was always open to us and we were always welcome to come right in. If we knocked on the door he’d remind us that “there’s no need to be knocking, just come in”.

He always put everyone else first, he would give you the shirt off his back and he wouldn’t think twice about jumping in the car to drop you somewhere or offer a lift.

Every Christmas morning, Christy brought a pint of Smithwicks into Dad and a drop of brandy to Mam. When we moved to the end of the Quill Road we were sure that tradition would be left at that. Then Christmas rolled around again and sure enough in came Christy with a pint and a drop keeping the tradition alive. He wouldn’t let a little thing like the Quill Road get in the way of his Christmas morning chat.

We’ll miss his good nature, his famous jokes, and his never-ending stories. Sincere condolences to the whole family, Christy was so proud of you all.

Sincere condolences to Bridie and family on the death of Christy. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.He made an outstanding contribution to his community in many areas including football(Gaelic and Soccer), acting and athletics. He was centrefield on the Kilmacanogue team which won the County Wicklow Junior Football Championship in 1966. On that and many other days his skill, his endless stamina, his never yield attitude and his support and encouragement for his teammates was instrumental in achieving victory. Unyielding and indestructible was our Christy on the field of play and plenty of long and short jokes off it.
