Condolences to Michael & the Hopkins Family & extended Glynn Family, on the sad passing of your brother, may he rest in peace.

I was very saddened to hear of Christy’s passing. As a child, I remember going up the back of JP Kelly’s where Christy worked taking big slabs of butter out of wooden boxes onto a machine which produced one lb portions of “Kelco” butter. Later on, I spent many a Summer’s evening watching Christy, Rupert and Charlie Staunton, the Brennan brothers and others play fearsome fourballs at the Castlerea Golf club where the competitiveness and slagging was something to behold. Christy went on to hold high office in the Golf club and contributed greatly to many other community activities around Castlerea. But, most importantly, he was a dear friend of our family and a dear friend of mine. May you rest in peace Christy and enjoy the fairways of heaven.

O am so very sorry to hear the ssd news of Christy's passing.
Me and my family have wonderful memories of Chtisty especially when we played around the train station as kids or he always looked after us when going anyplace on a train.
Christy is a person you would imagine would always be there.Castlerea will be a different place without him but Heaven will be a brighter place.
