Catherine, we were shocked and so sorry when we heard about Christy’s tragic passing. He was a real character around the neighbourhood as he walked with Enzo and chatted to everyone.

Not a day would pass without a friendly wave from Christy to the boys in yard, or a chat at the gate or over the wall on Mart Lane, or a catch up while parking our cars. Christy was never without a smile and he will be missed by us all.

Christy was an ever present for me around Cornalscourt growing up always a friendly wave and greeting no matter the weather quite literally.

We were at school together with Tommy in St Cronans.
I remember a funny story from many years ago when you paid off a suit in Duigans on Quinsboro Road I was chuffed walking down main street in my new 3 piece when who walks around the corner Christy wearing the identical suit.
We had a good laugh about it.
