Our Condolences to Ellen, Jason, Jillian,Lee Anne and David. We have known Christy since dancing to his Disc-a - Go-Go in the Lake County, where his long-term business association with Paddy Fagan blossomed. Christy was firstly a Family Man ,while achieving great business acumen and helping many associates over the years. He enjoyed the regular morning meetings with ‘The Corner Boys’ in The Greville, adding to the banter with the lads! No doubt he will continue to do so ‘Up Above ‘ and possibly discuss options to make things even better for those coming later?? May Christy Rest in Peace.

Christy was a great friend of my late father Harry. He was loved and respected by so many people in Mullingar and around the country and will be sorely missed.

Discussing a plan or proposal would be different to anyone else as he would see it from so many different angles

Christy was a gentleman, always so welcoming and accommodation to the annual Queen of the Land festival in Tullamore. It was our pleasure to work with him in the planning and organising of the festival in the Bridge House Hotel. He was such an approachable and decent person, and no ask was too much.
May Christy’s gentle soul rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Christy . I came to know Christy during the 1980s through the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore, where I—along with many members of the St. Columcille's Pipe Band—had the honour of playing at weddings and events.

Christy was always kind and generous to us. He carried his success with quiet dignity and was the very definition of a gentleman—soft-spoken, gracious, and deeply respectful of others. I always admired not only his remarkable business acumen, which helped shape the Midlands, but also the humility and decency with which he treated everyone he encountered.

To his wife and family, please accept my sincere sympathy at this difficult time. Christy’s legacy will be remembered not only in the businesses he built but in the many lives he touched with his generosity and character.

I have known Christy for many years and served on the nursing staff of St. Loman’s hospital with him in the 1960’s. Christy qualified with honours as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and was a pleasure to work with. He launched his Disc A GO GO in 1965 in the parochial hall Church Avenue, Mullingar. The Classic Showband of which I was a member played on that occasion. Christy made a huge success of this and everything else he undertook. May he rest in everlasting peace and may his bereaved family be consoled.

I had the honour and great pleasure to have known Christy for close to sixty years and always loved his company. He had incredible vision including the Hooves 4 Hospice fundraising project which was his idea. His enthusiasm was infectious, generous beyond reason, saw solutions not problems and was always up for fun and so good at telling yarns with his own twist on them. What a lovely man, what a loyal friend, what an inspiration. There is now an emptiness in our lives which will never be filled, he was one in a million. May God bless his soul and may he rest in eternal peace and happiness.
