At any family gathering if Christy was there first, you heard him before you saw him. The infectious giggle could be heard before you caught a glimpse of his wide smile. Always a warm welcome and a big hug for absolutely everyone, whether you were someone he held dear or someone he just got to know. He had a warmth and kindness in abundance for all.
If you arrived to a family gathering before him, most would ask, "is Christy Ray coming?"
The loss of Christy is enormous for all, especially for Jason, Susanne, Lisa and grandchildren. Our love and thoughts are with you as you navigate and process such a painful loss. Your Dad was an amazing person. His personality and kindness shines through you both and always will. As he lies back in the arms of his beautiful Joanie, we will continue to remember them both and hear that infectious laugh at future family gatherings.
