My warm condolences on the death of your father. I first met him some 40 years ago, and I remember on many occasions the warmth of his welcome when I would visit the house. I have many memories of him with the newspaper in his hand, fresh from media coverage of the events of the world and always with an interesting take on current affairs.
I know how much his children loved him, and I cannot but imagine that such an avuncular figure was a perfect uncle and grandfather.
May he rest in peace as he joins his beloved Madeleine
