We got to know Chris when we joined Leevale approx. 7 years ago, and then went on to have a further connection with PBC over the past number of years. Chris was always a gentleman, fun and wholly giving of himself and his experience. He gave unwavering support and motivation to everyone he had dealings with and always managed to get the very best from every athlete, no matter what level they were at, he got their best. He was a pleasure and always made people believe they could do anything thing they wanted. Work hard, believe and achieve. Chris will leave an unmeasurable void, but his positive legacy will be felt and in the hearts of everyone who were lucky enough to have crossed paths with him. Codladh sámh Chris

A lovely memory for me is of him running hand in hand to the finish with my little 3 year old nephew who was coming last in the Tiny Tot race at Leevale Sports a few years ago! He was also so nice and helpful to my niece at the All Ireland Cross Country in Donegal in 2022. My sincere condolences to his family and friends at this very sad time

Our heartfelt condolences to all of Chris' family on the devastating loss of a fantastic guy. Chris brought energy, zeal and humour wherever he went. He was a great friend to my late father Liam Horgan (Leevale AC), and showed wonderful kindness and thoughtfulness towards both Dad and Mum during their illnesses. He carried out the building renovations on our house and his hard work, dedication and good humoured got us through. Chris left an indelible impression on everyone who met him. He will be so terribly missed by so many. His spirit and legacy live on in the family he loved so much. Holding you all in our thoughts. RIP Chris.
