Condolences to Christys Family . I went to secondary school with Christy . We went our seperate
ways when we left .Out of the blue he called into my Workplace in Limerick about twenty years
ago ,he had heard I was working in Limerick . We had a cup of coffee and a chat . He called several times afterwards until I retired . Christy was a very bright cheerful person who will be

Dear Rosemary and family. I was really saddened to learn (belatedly) of Christy's death. I can recall wonderful times working with Christy in the Foreign Department of Ulster Bank many years ago. Christy was an excellent colleague -cheerful,helpful and unflappable.The highlight of many a day was our trips on Christy's Lambretta scooter to the Bankers Club for our games of squash. My sincere condolences to the entire family connection and I trust you will all find the strength to face the future at this sad and lonely time.

So sorry to hear of Christy's passing. We extend our sympathy to RoseMary and the entire White family. My lasting memory of Christy is that whenever I would see him on his visits to the US I would address him as "Mr. White." He would, without fail, turn around with a surprised look as if I were speaking to someone else behind him. "There's no Mr. White here, call me Christy" was his reply. He didn't take himself too seriously and had a great sense of humor, apparently never realizing that he had become one of our wise elders. May he now remain forever young.

I got to know Christy at ADARE Golf Club where we played golf together as I enjoyed his company. Christy was a gentle and courteous man. Christy’s caddy car had quite large wheels unlike most others and so I named him Ben Hurr. Our deepest sympathies to the White family. Kim and I were both super fond of Christy. We’d be hard pressed to name a better host and our trips to Ireland will always have a special place in our memory. While his unbelievable warmth and charm made me nervous that my wife might attempt to run off with Christy … in truth it’s evident that Christy’s great charm was exceeded only by his commitment to his family. While we had the great fortune to enjoy just a few precious moments with Christy we will forever be grateful for the family and the rich legacy of connection and friendship that he leaves behind.

When I met Christie in Oregon it was immediately clear that Dara inherited his dad's forthrightness, big heart, great sense of humor and generosity of spirit. The apple didn't fall far from the tree. Sincere condolences from the Preonas family on the passing of Christy. He always had a twinkle in his eye. I will never forget the look on his face when he came home to the Dublin flat (a day early by our count) to find a Korean (Sam) and a Greek (me) in their underwear in the middle of the afternoon. He was truly a kind soul who loved you all so dearly.
