I grew up knowing Kit, going to his house with my best friends his nephews. My heart is broken, my daughters loved him also. Condolences to all his family. RIP never to be forgotten

The passing of Kit Mitchell has left a huge vacancy in Killyon Hurling and the greater Killyon community. As we all know Kit devoted his whole life to the game of Hurling and the club he loved. People came from far and wide to honour the humble man who gave such service to his Club, community and County. A lot of players are eternally grateful to you for giving us the opportunity to play for the club you loved so much.
If I can pay you one last tribute, ‘Kit you were a wonderful, decent, honest man who served all of us all the time, we will miss you’
