It was with great sadness that I heard of Christy’s passing, one of life’s gentlemen, I could always turn to Christy for help and advice when things where not going so well, he was very well liked and respected in Dublin port, he was always game for a laugh, even though I hadn’t seen him for a number of years he was always in my thoughts. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time. May he rest in eternal peace.

To ashling and family we are so sorry to hear the sad news about Christy he was a good old friend to my dad joe he was a true gentleman and I will miss the chats I often had with him when I would meet him in irishtown rip Christy 🌹
It is with great sadness that I heard Christy has passed away. I have great memories of him when I became an apprentice Shipwright in Dublin Port in 1974. Used to have great craic with Christy when he drove the Lighthouse Launch bringing me out in to Dublin Bay to carry out repairs to the navigation buoys and the Bull lighthouse, we used to catch conger eels and mackerel on the good weather days. He was always up for a good slagging and had a great sense of humour. Sorry to hear he is now gone, rest in peace Christy.
