We were so shocked to read of Christy's demise only yesterday. We go back to when he arrived in the area. He got interested in greyhound ownership and I handled a few for him. We had a fair amount of success and then he set up his own kennels. When he retired he bought a house in Durrow and went back to Laois. However he missed the Castlepollard area and came back. We used meet from time to time on Sunday mornings at Murray's newsagency and have a chat. I knew he was'nt well but I did not expect this so soon. To his daughter and immediate family we tender our sincere sympathy. Rest in the Lord old friend.
