Christy was an absolute gent who was very supportive and offered guidance to me as a new recruit starting out. I have very fond memories of my time working with Christy, his great sense of humor and his love of Limerick.

I met Christy in Irishtown in 1981 .. Christy was a larger than life character and was very professional as a Garda and have wonderful memories of him ..
He was a people person and will be missed .

To all the Noonan family I am very sorry to hear that Christy has died. I walked the beat with Christy on my first day in Irishtown GS I still remember that day and the conversation with Christy, a character and a proud Limerick man for sure. Rest In Peace Christy.

So sorry to hear about the passing of the wonderful “ Christy” with whom I had the pleasure of working with in Irishtown Garda back in the 60s/70s. A very different job and world. Christy had such a great attitude to life. I can still hear that colourful Limerick accent and forever laughing. He was a joy to be around.
