Dear Meryl -
My deepest condolences to you and to the Gaisford St Lawrence family on the recent passing of Christopher.
I so enjoyed his company over recent years at our meetings at the castle. He would have me in tears of laughter as he recounted some of the stories from his extraordinary life.
Generous, fair, sharp witted and with a little mischievous thrown in for good measure.
No matter how our meetings concluded I always left Howth with a smile on my face as we said our goodbyes.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

For Meryl:
Warmest condolences at this sudden End of an Era. I thank you Meryl, for many entertaining, high quality games, against the partnership of yourself and Christopher.
A few weeks ago, Christopher doubled my four spades. I knew instantly that I was doomed. He knew, and I knew that he knew, and he knew that I knew that he knew.
I chuckle to recall that game.
May Christopher rest in peace.
