Christy was a true gentleman, a legend a man who could light up any room with his infectious smile and big personality. He would go out of his way to help anyone he could and he wasn't afraid of hard work. Christy loved his football, cycling his cup of tea and a chat he was a regular visitor to me since we both retired. No matter where he went there was laughter and fun he would brighten the darkest of days. I was lucky to have had him as a friend and Christy will.be sadly missed. May he rest in eternal peace.

I was so sorry to learn that Christy had passed. I had the privilege of being his doctor for many years. It was always a pleasure to meet him. We had many a great conversation over these years. So sad and shocked to hear of Christy's sudden passing. He was one of a kind. We were all devastated when Christy Kathleen and the lads left Arles Club and community many years ago. Christy was a great midfielder for Arles and was such a great character to have around. His personality was infectious and so good humoured. He kept in close contact with people in the club and remained a great friend to my father and our family.
