Some of my earliest memories of Christy are us going off to Ringabella for a week, courtesy of St Vincent De Paul, or going up to St Finnbarr’s hospital after primary school so Christy could get physical therapy for his fallen arches, and in later years long weekends in Kinsale and Tralee. He had a great sense of humor, a good boxer and like all the O’Shea's loved a good song.

I moved off to the States and life and distance got in the way, but I would meet him occasionally through the years when I got back. I will always have the fondest memories of Christy and our days in Ballyphehane.

My sincerest condolences to Jacinta, Christopher, Paul and Melissa, all of my O’Shea Cousins and good friend Eric Riley.
