Have just heard the sad news. Sincere condolences to Rionach & family on Cian’s passing -so young to go. I have so many memories of him when we were growing up in Highfield (always with an inhaler to hand🤦🏻‍♀️). And later as adults when I returned to Highfield in the 2010’s. May he in rest in peace

Ríonach, Ive just heard today about the incredibly sad loss of Cian. Im so sorry to hear it and send deepest condolences. I remember the fun we had all those years ago, in The Glenside and down in Wexford. He had such a kind soul.

Dear Ríonach, I am so sorry for your devastating loss. I was a classmate of Cian's in Scoil Lorcáin and Coláiste Eoin, and I have the happiest memories of your generous, kind and caring brother. While we were not in regular contact, in recent years, any time we saw each other, his genuine warmth, humour and affection, would always leave me smiling and in better form. I met Cian in 1988 in Boston USA. We worked in photography and he quickly became my friend. He was a generous soul who was full of laughter and warmth. I am lucky to have known him. I am so grateful that I saw him in Dublin in 2012, we had lunch and reminisced.

He was one of a kind. He will be thought of often and surely missed.

Cian was one of a kind. He loved music and a good laugh. He had the best stories and sharing them. Sending Love and strength. He will be missed by many.

He taught me how to curse without shame he introduced me to Led Zeppelin AC/DC and Black Sabbath I always laughed at his humorous posts and proud of his homemade sandwiches he would bring into the homeless he will be sadly missed by all and especially his dog rest in peace friend

Cian and Worf brightened up so many of our days in Laser, he was so funny. And really committed to justice for unhoused people, trekking into the Dáil regularly to campaign for their rights. I’ve a lovely Christmas card from him written entirely in klingon. We’ll miss him.
