Cian de Paor

My deepest condolences to Cian’s family and friends. I met him during my time as a nursing intern and he was always such a gentleman. May he rest in perfect peace.

Cian was a true gentleman and valued friend. He had a unique way of making you feel safe and comfortable no matter what. I will deeply miss his wit and sense of humour, he was so quick thinking and funny and up to mischief in the best way. He looked out for everyone and had an ease about him that made everyone laugh.

Rest in peace Cian, til we meet again.

Cian was the epitome of a good friend. He was always interested in asking how you were and looked out for you, even if you were in the wrong. Our friendship started with cycling around the bloc and making it as far as the shop for that well deserved treat. Moving onto the gaming world in the front room and always having to complete everything on the hardest difficulty that existed. It kept many a weekend busy, maybe even a few school nights.

An ever constant pal in and out of school, many early morning trips up the lane to school and late nights home after making sure every else made it home safe, no matter the weather. All these filled with random chitchat but a never forgotten conversation.

Thoughts with Eva, the family and large circle of friends. Cian will be remembered greatly in everyone’s thoughts and missed dearly.

My sincerest condolences to Eva and Cian's family on Cian's passing. He was such a kind, wonderful human. I will always fondly remember his ability to make one feel welcome, as well as his love for music. I will miss him dearly.

Cian knew exactly what to say to lighten up a room at the right time. I will always remember his one-liners and his willingness to do anything for the craic. He was the person who made sure we had a great time but also caught us when we fell.

In the years that I knew Cian, he was always so funny, caring and incredibly easy to get along with! The knowledge he had for anything IT related was unbelievable, and he will always be known as the IT guy's, IT guy!

I was very lucky to have worked with Cian, during his time in Glasgow. Thanks for Eva for bringing him with her and allowing us all to meet such a remarkable lad.
More than just a work colleague. Cian was a great friend with first class craic and never failed to make you laugh. Long nightshifts were spend winding each other and others up. It was a great bunch of people and Cian was at the heart of that, he will be solely missed. Will miss the stories, rants, questionable jokes, music taste and everything else; which made the nights go much quicker. When seeking assistance, nothing was too much hassle and loved helping others and there were countless favours.
Lovely service and comforting to hear stories of others, about him was lovely. The headphones were a lovely touch, as still fondly remember him bursting in the door and sitting the headphones on the desk, ready to start work.
My thoughts are with Eva, Cian’s family and all his friends. Cian will be greatly missed by all, he was one of the good ones. - RIP Cian

I had the honour of working with Cian a few years ago, often long night shifts. It was always a good shift when he was on. He was funny, intelligent, had a fantastic wit and made you feel included. In my current job, when I'm stuck, I try to think back to Cian and try to emulate what he might do in my place. While I never spoke much with him after leaving that job, I think of him often and am sad the world must go on without him. Class man, who is rightly missed by many.

Sincere sympathy to all Cian’s loved ones and work colleagues, I had the great pleasure of working with Cian on many occasions and he was always very professional and diligent. A long time ago I was heartbroken by the death of a close friend in his early thirties. All these years his memory is cherished and carried by those who loved him as I’m sure will be the case with Cian.

To the De Paor family, I'm very sorry to hear of Cian's passing. I have great memories of us making videos together under Mr. Byrd's direction in TY, and throwing down in Mario Kart DS beside the radiators at lunchtime in the PBS.

We might have been total outcasts in that sense at the time, but we were happy, and did not give a ..... I'm not surprised to hear he went on to excel at a career in IT, and knew at the time as computer kids we were on the same path.

Rest easy Cian, will catch you on the Mario Kart grid again some day soon x
