"Thank you for taking the time to let us know. I was very saddened to hear of Ciara’s passing.

Ciara worked with me for several years, and I remember her fondly. I had the privilege of supervising her Australian Psychology registration and sponsoring her placement with us, and from the outset, it was clear she was an exceptional clinician. She had a remarkable ability to connect with children, and her calendar quickly filled with referrals. I often said, only half-jokingly, that I wished we had five Ciaras.

While clearing out my computer some time ago, I came across a few photos and documents that brought back memories - not only of working with her, but of her friendship that developed over time. Ciara and Shane joined my wife and I for dinner parties on occasion. We stayed in touch for a while after she returned to the UK, but over time we lost contact. I wasn’t aware she had been unwell, and I’m very sorry to hear this.

If appropriate, please pass on my condolences, and those of my team who knew her, to Ciara’s family and loved ones. Thank you again for thinking of us during this time.

As a cherished former student of mine, we kept in contact and I always followed her career with interest. I was privileged to supervise Clara in her final year research project which was in the area of forensic psychology. She was very passionate about forensic psychology and she always showed great enthusiasm for any further readings I could suggest to her.

I am very sorry I could not attend the funeral to pay my respects in person due to personal reasons but from the messages I have been receiving from Ciara’s former classmates, Psychology in NUIG/Univ. of Galway will be well represented.

So sorry for your loss

I have many fond memeories of Ciara growing up, she was smart, funny and so insightful. When we would be talking about make up skirts and getting ready for discos she had her head stuck in a book. I could listen to ciara for hours we always had the most interesting conversations. Her witt was like no other, and I admired how she always stayed in her own lane never following the crowd. There are no words to describe how heartbroken We are for ciaras family's, especially ciaras wonderful mother Caroline,emma,jade luna rae and shane as ye will feel this the most.
May god wrap his arms around you all in the coming weeks and months to help you in this difficult time.
Ciara I wont forget your laugh.
Loss is not easy, but the love you all have for her is eternal.
