Thank you for being the lovely person that you were. You really were a great young fella – you knew exactly what you wanted and you went for it. We couldn’t have picked a better boyfriend for Aoife if we had searched the whole world through. We seen how good you & Aoife were together. The love, laughter, singing and constant chatter was so heart warming to see & hear. We had the privilege of watching a great love story blossom. Thank you for loving Aoife the way you did, for making her so happy for all those years and helping her become the amazing young girl she is today.

We only got to know you all since Ciarán passed and once we did we knew instantly why you all meant so much to him and why you were all friends for such a long time. It’s so obvious to see how yez all got on so well - you all are so like him - kind, caring, polite, funny & mischievous! We loved hearing the stories of what yez got up to on boys nights out and we loved Ciarán even more after hearing them.
Ciarán loved you all and he was so lucky to have you all in his life and I know you all feel the same. So, look after each other and don’t forget our door is always open to you all.

We are so sorry for the loss of your darling Ciarán. We met him first when he was 13 years old when he & Aoife started dating. He was a lovely kid and over the next 6 years we seen him grow into a lovely young man. He was a credit to you - nice, kind, polite, good humoured and great natured everything we all want our sons to be, and the perfect lad every parent would want for their daughter. Ciarán & Aoife had a beautiful relationship - they were two great individuals who, because they allowed each other the space and time for their own friends and hobbies - were like this amazing super couple. Ciarán had become part of our family and we loved him. We are heartbroken for you all. We will always feel someone is missing from our family and our door always be open to you and your family.

I knew Ciarán from working in the Lord Lucan. A nicer guy you could never meet. I don't know your parents Ciarán but I'm so so sorry for their loss. And to you of course Derek. And both your girlfriends. My daughter Emily worked with both boys behind the bar. I still can't believe it. May you rest in peace Ciarán RIP.
