So sad to learn of Ciaran’s passing and condolences to Ciara, Eoin and all the family. I had the pleasure to work with Ciaran over many years at Flogas. He was an exceptionally intelligent and knowledgeable colleague with a unique style. I was last speaking with him around three months ago and was surprised to hear this week of his death. May he Rest in Peace.

My deepest sympathies to Clara and Eoin. Ciaran was a great old pal of mine and I will have fond memories going all the way back to childhood when I was at school and I would spend my evenings in Flogas. Ciaran always had time for me and shared all his technology wisdoms with me. Then there was the multiple fishing trips over the years and the happy times at the becks (dowlings pub) where we would spend Friday nights having social drinks with Una and my Dad Richard Martin. Shocked and saddened to hear of Ciaran’s untimely passing, I had the privilege of knowing Ciaran as we both contributed to the Gas Safety Committee for a long number of years. He was knowledgeable, practical and very funny.
He made a huge contribution to the wider gas industry and although we competed in the business my respect for his technical nous was ever present. Rest easy Ciaran and to his grieving family, I know you will miss him greatly.

I had the privilege to work with Ciaran in Liquid Gas Ireland. Ciaran’s immense knowledge and experience of the gas industry were of paramount importance. His attention to detail and his droll sense of humour were only two of his many attributes. Ciaran will be sadly missed, most especially by his family. My sympathy, in particular, to Ciara and Eoin and also to his many colleagues, both retired and working, in Flogas.

We were very saddened to learn of Ciaran’s sudden and unexpected passing .
We worked for many years as colleague’s and Directors at FLogas and he made an enormous contribution to the growth and success of the company over the years .
He was a very loyal and intelligent person and was immensely popular with all who knew him We both became great personal friends with him
So sad that he has not had the opportunity to enjoy a more lengthy retirement
after all his endeavours in the gas business
He had the great support from Ciara and Eoin particularly after the untimely passing of Una with whom we were also very close .

Deeply saddened by the untimely death of my treasured cousin Ciaran. His grumpy cynical manner entirely failed to conceal his huge brain and even bigger heart - both demonstrated in the last months of my brother Conor. We rarely actually spoke but maintained a regular conversation by text message, and I will miss more than I can say his brutally funny responses. I was saddened yesterday to hear of Ciaran's death. His sister-in-law Phil n I are special friends.
I knew Una much better, a lovely human being with a vibrant personality, Ciaran was much quieter, friendly to me when we met each other.
Losing yr second parent is a life changing experience, Ciara n Eoin have each other now for support going forward and their mum n dad will also be there to guide them too.
May Ciaran n Una both rest in peace now.

Really sorry to hear this v sad news.
I first met Ciaran over 25 years ago working in the Gas Industry and in particular when we soldiered together on NSAI Standards Committees.
Lots of debate, lively discussion and even the odd ‘row’, but sure there was always plenty of banter too when Ciaran was around.
Ciaran was highly respected by all his colleagues and acknowledged for his huge contribution to Gas Safety and to our wider Industry over many years.

Ciaran will be sadly missed. He was a wonderful and witty man. He was an enormous support to my brother, Conor, when he was terminally ill in 2019, came to see him every Sunday and was cheerful, chatty and kind, though sometimes just silent and present when that was the kind of day it was. I have fond memories of Ciaran going back for over sixty years now. Take care Ciara and Eoin.
