How I will miss our chats and deep connection. Ciarán was such a special and gentle soul. What a listener he was. My fondest memories were when we were kids and then teenagers always dreaming and talking about music and art. We disagreed on many things but always respected each others choices. How I will miss you. I hope you found Mam up there, I am sure she has a lovely cup of tea and a comfy seat for you. Maryrose, Oisin, Eoghan and all the family sending all my love and light.

I remember the many conversations i had with Ciaran on the no 70 bus in and out to College. He had an ability to connect and listen that made all of us who met him feel more alive. I wish Mary Rose my mother Anna was here to comfort you in the grief of losing your son, but know we are all with you and your family from our various parts of the world. Another diamond turns to dust. Fond memories. Condolences to all who loved him.

Myself and my husband Alvin Sweeney were so sad to hear of Ciarán's passing. Although I had not seen Ciarán for a long time, I have many fond memories of him from our time working together. I particularly remember a last-minute phone call saying he had secured a ticket for me for a secret David Bowie gig in The Factory. I was so thrilled! I remember too his kind words when he attended my own sister's funeral back in 1999, and how moved he was that we had played Lou Reed's Perfect Day at the ceremony.

Ciarán was unique in his outlook on life and his devotion to music. Sincere condolences to his family, and to all who knew and loved him.

We are heartbroken hearing of Ciaran’s passing. Ciaran was truly one of life’s most kind hearted and genuine men. I will always remember our wonderful conversations about life and the times you spent talking with Riley about Star Wars and Lego you were so kind and thoughtful…we will miss you mate. To Mary-Rose, Oisin, Eoghan and their families our deepest heartfelt condolences go out to you on this tragic loss.

I think my favourite time with Ciarán was when we laminated official looking Dublin Council posters with big bold text "Please do not feed the trees" and hung them around fence-enclosed trees on the footpaths of the city centre. His company was infectious; I can't believe this awesome, fun, kind, brilliant force of nature has gone from our lives. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones. RIP Ciarán, you rocked.
