On behalf of the Association of Retired Commissioned Officers (ARCO), I would like to extend our deep condolences to the extended Leonard family, on the passing of Comdt Retd Ciaran Leonard. I served with Ciaran in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and observed his excellent skills when dealing with medical emergencies under traumatic conditions. May Ciaran rest in peace.

Deeply sorry to learn of Ciaran’s passing. We were class and teammates and have many fond memories of our years together. My thoughts and prayers are for Ciaran and with the family. May he rest in peace.

I am very sorry to learn of Ciaran’s passing. He was very principled and caring doctor. We shared a difficult tour of duty in S Lebanon and Ciaran was always anxious to be first at hand to any incident requiring medical support.
I send my sincere condolences to Marianne, Michael, Patrick and Ian and families. I regret that I am incapacitated at present and unable to attend Ciaran’s funeral.
