Sincere condolences to the Leonard family on the sad passing of Ciaran.
As a former member of the A.N.S ( Army Nursing Service) I had the privilege of working alongside Ciaran in St Bricins Military Hosp. I remember him as a very kind, caring and compassionate Medical Officer to all he encountered , both staff and patients alike. R.I.P.

Sincere condolences to the Leonard family. I knew Comdt Leonard through our business and later when he worked in Spirasi where his reports were always detailed and thorough.

I was in TCD with Ciaran all those years ago when he was always very kind and caring. I called to see him last summer in Shankill and he was not very mobile and I hoped that he would be able to join us at a class reunion but not to be, sadly. During that time he spoke so proudly of his family. My sympathies to all of you. May he rest in peace.

Very fond memories of Ciaran from our medical student days at Trinity and so sorry to hear that he has died. He was a kind and thoughtful young man and very good-humoured. He lent me his vinyl of Vivaldi's Four Seasons before it became ubiquitous, so had an ear for seriously good music even then. RIP.

My sincere condolences. I worked with Dr Ciaran at Spirasi were he was an examining doctor for torture survivors. He was a very kind person which he showed in his dedication to clients and his care for colleagues. He loved to debate, shared tai chi practices with us and spoke of his family, especially his beloved late wife Pat. May he rest in peace.

Sincerest condolences to Ciaran’s adult children Marianne, Michael, Patrick, and Ian on the death of their father. I am a colleague from the TCD medical class of 1979. We have a WhatsApp group and just to let you know his colleagues from around the world have posted kind memories and reflections about your father from our undergraduate years. Know that he was respected as a caring kind and honourable gentleman and doctor. Most of us lost contact with him but I had the privilege of meeting him last March for the first time since our graduation. While he wasn’t physically well his intellect remained sharp and we shared an enjoyable few hours reflecting on life while enjoying a meal.
