Wonderful man.
Now our angel up above.
Lovely memories of huge-hearted kindness; time to pay all that kindness forward now!
It’s been a very long time, Catherine, since our paths last crossed, but that doesn’t mean any of your kindness and the fun we had is forgotten; sending all my love at this difficult time.
God bless and rest easy, Ciarán 🥰
Sincere sympathy to Declan and the McMillan family on the passing of your brother Ciaran. May he rest in peace
To all of the McMillan family, please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of Ciarán, may he rest in peace
Thanyou to everybody here for all your words of kindness, expressions of sympathy, the wonderful stories and memories told of Ciarán, a person whom we were so proud to have as a great husband and wonderful father. May he always be with us in our hearts and may he walk with angels forever.
Ciarán was a wonderful person and always kind and considerate. As a teacher he was one of a kind. Entering his classroom was always an adventure. The projects his students produced were exceptional. When a parent was considering sending their child to us they were often brought to Ciarán's room to meet him. He always made a great impression.
As a teacher and colleague he was held in the highest esteem. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Comhbhrón o chroí libh.

Catherine and family, our deepest condolences on the passing of Ciarán...
I did my apprenticeship with Ciaran in the ESB. We shared a love of motorcycles. A giant of a man in many ways going by the posts on this thread. RIP Ciaran & condolences to his family.

Eamon Harty Perth, Australia.
Catherine I am so sorry to hear of Ciaran’s passing. I am thinking of you and all your family at this heartbreaking time.
This is such a shock. I am so saddened that Ciarán has gone. My deep condolences to all the family and relatives.

I know Ciarán from when we first met through the days of Elbeau. The project brought so many of the youth of Beaumont together, people we would have never known otherwise even though we just lived doors away from each other. I am thankful for that time and for knowing him.

The photo above says it all about Ciarán. He hadn't changed a bit. The smile, the twinkle in the eye and the inner strength tells you everything about the person; he loved to live. That he is gone at such a young age is just unbelievable. I am so sorry.

His memory will live on. He won't be forgotten.
Deepest condolences Catherine to you and the girls at this sad time. May Ciarán rest in peace.
So sad to hear of Ciarans death, I met Ciaran as a work colleague and he was a great support to the young people and instrructors in the CTC.

Ciaran's amazing caring personality will always be in my heart. He will always be sadly missed. I am just so sorry Catherine, Maeve and Bronagh.
So sorry for your loss Peadar. RIP Ciaran
I met Ciaran earlier this year at the CYBC sailing course. Ciarán arrived every evening with a quiet enthusiasm and glint in his eye to get out on the water and his confidence grew with every evening that passed. I was delighted to see he jumped into the deep end and went out with the eboats and cruisers many times for the months since the course.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Ciarans passing. For the short time i knew him, i really enjoyed his company and hearing how he got on on the water. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends, may he rest in gentle peace.
My deepest condolences to Catherine Maeve Bronagh and all the extended McMillian family i was very shocked to hear of Ciaran sudden passing. He waa always a pleasure to deal and a pure gentleman. My thoughts and prayers are with you all
My deepst sympathy to Catherine and all the family. I am a new member of NBCC but for the short time I knew Ciaran he made a lasting great impression. Sadly missed.
As a young Venture Scout in 18th Santry I had the pleasure and honour of being under Ciaran's guidance on many a Scouting activity. On a number of occasions in later years I also had the pleasure to work along side him as a fellow Scouter. He was always one of life's good guys who brought joy into the lives of many a young person.

May I offer my sincerest condolences to Catherine & Family & May he Rest In Peace.
I am shocked and truly saddened to hear of Ciaran's passing. He was a true gent with a contagious laugh. May he RIP and sincere sympathy to his wife and all his family.
Catherine, we send you and your family our deepest sympathy on the sudden loss of Ciaran. May take comfort in all the memories you shared and may Ciaran rest in peace.
So sad to hear of the untimely passing of a true gent, a giant of a man with that hearty laugh, Ciaran was my leader in venture scouts in Whitehall back in the late 80's. He was a lovely guy always smiling and encouraged us to be adventurous and give things a go. I have fond memories of our work camps in Lough Dan, MAD CAMP, camping in Larch Hill and hiking the Wicklow Way with Ciaran leading the charge. RIP

Sincere condolances to all the family.
So sorry to hear about the death of Ciaran, I knew him from years ago when I lived in Beaumont. I remember his great sense of humour and his big smile. May he rest in peace.
Catherine, Maeve, Bronagh and Patrick.
I can only imagine how painful the loss of Ciarán is to you all. Rest assured you have kind friends to support you in your grief.

Ciarán was a giant of a man in stature but most of all in the love he had for his family. With Catherine beside him they welcomed everyone to their home and nobody left hungry.

Ciarán was blessed with humility, love, generosity, compassion, encouragement and his great sense of humour.

He had a great appetite for life a life that was so suddenly interupted.

I will remember Ciarán is how he always held out a reassuring and encouraging hand to anyone who was struggling young or old it made no difference to him. He had the rare ability to give you his full attention in a room full of people and make you feel special.

He left a big void in a lot of hearts but I know his Legacy will live on in the lives he touched.

I truly believe that death is only final when memories fade. May Ciarán's memory be a blessing and may he Rest In Eternal Peace 🙏
Stephen, sincere sympathy to you & entire family on the very sad & untimely passing of Ciarán..may his soul rest in the keeping of the Lord.

I will profoundly miss his invaluable support, his interesting stories, and his great sense of humour. We are all keeping Catherine, Maeve and Brónagh in our minds at this time. Ciarán was a true gentleman who brought so much fun and joy to our weekly cycle with the Sky group at Naomh Baarrog. Always thinking of a crafty new route and of course the lengthy coffee stop where he would chuckle at the nonsense of the 'skyleens'. I got married two years ago and was so delighted when he turned up to my 'hen' party with the sky ladies. It just wouldn't have been a proper Sky night out without him. We will miss his presence, his kindness and his laugh. We are so lucky to have known him.
Our sympathies go out to Catherine, Maeve, Bronagh, Patrick and the Mc Millan family on hearing of your very sad loss. May Ciaran rest in peace.
Debbie, Kevin O'Hara and family

Huge condolences to all Ciarán's family and friends. I didn't know Ciaran very well but I know how much of his life dedicated to social justice. I know him through Colaiste Dhulaigh and their global justice programme there. He instilled in so many young people a sense of justice and only realised when reading here that he is also a scouter. He's had a tremendous positive impact on young people through his life may he rest in peace.

Ciaráns good humour and positivity helped me get around. We also had the best 99’s that day. RIP Ciarán.
