Dear Aideen, Cillian and Colm. It is with great sadness that I learnt of your Dad's sudden passing. I worked with Ciaran in the Department of Health and it was there that we became friends. I spent many times swapping stories about our lives with him and there is no doubt that he adored you three guys. He was immensely proud of you all (and Lorcan). He revived a love for the Irish language in me and myself and Helen sent our two girls to the local gaelscoil in Drogheda. Indeed he put Aoife and Ciara through their paces when he met them! He was a genuinely lovely, kind and sharp witted man whom I kept in contact with when I left the Department. I will miss him dearly and was saddened to miss his removal and burial last week, especially since I live so close to St Mary's church and Calvary. My thoughts are with you and the rest of Ciaran's family. May he rest in peace.
I worked with Ciarán in 2014/15. He was a wealth of knowledge on so many different topics. You have my sincere sympathies on your very sad loss.
Dear Aideen, Cillian and Colm, I am only today hearing the sad news of your dad's untimely death. My thoughts are with you all at this time. He was a character and will be missed in this life. RIP
Dear Aideen, Cillian and Colm, my condolences on the passing of your Dad. I worked with Ciaran in the CAAB. He was a great colleague and friend. I know he was extremely proud of you all. Robert
I am very sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Ciarán.

Ciarán was a gentleman and it was my pleasure to have known him during his time working in the Department.

My sincere condolences to Ciarán's family.
Dear Aideen, Cillian and Colm, I wish to pass on my condolences, and many of my colleagues, to you on your sad loss. It has come as a terrible shock which we have only just heard about. I'm sure it is a difficult time for you but I just wanted to say a few words.

I worked with Ciaran here in the Dept of Health for 5 years up to 2014. He was a very conscientious and hardworking colleague to work with but was also a good laugh in between all the work. He had a wicked and very sharp sense of humour. He also put us right on the correct Gaeilge for everything! Ciaran made many friends here and is fondly remembered and sadly missed.

Best wishes,
Tony Flynn
