It was a privilege to have known Claire as a colleague. She was an inspirational teacher and leader. Working with children who had been excluded from mainstream school, Claire showed how exceptional she really was. There are so many times I can recall where the children showed how much they loved her and their families were very grateful too.
But most of all I am blessed that Claire was my very dear friend. I cannot put into words how much she meant to me.
Dear Patrick, Ciara and Carmel I keep you all in my prayers.
Eternal rest grant unto Claire O Lord
May she rest in peace.
Claire became a dear friend after we worked together many years ago in a Liverpool school. A brilliant teacher, well liked by staff and pupils. Always supportive and fun, we became closer as we both retired, great times spent together. Claire loved her family and they will be devasted she has gone from their lives. RIP dear friend, miss you so much. Maggie x
Deepest symapthies to Claires family at this difficult time.
We are utterly heartbroken that Claire has left us so suddenly and far too soon. It is hard to accept that someone so full of kindness, warmth, humour, and that unmistakable spark of mischief is no longer with us.
Claire had a gift for brightening every room and making everyone around her feel cherished. We are all better for having known her.

Parksgrove holds so many memories. It has always been a place where doors were open, laughter was shared, and friendships deepened—especially through those long, summer days and nights. There has always been a welcome for all, across the generations who gathered there. We cherished the times when the Coughlan family arrived —when stories flowed, food was shared, when old friendships picked up effortlessly over a game of cards or a board game. New memories were made around the table, in the garden, or simply in the comfort of being together in that special companionship. Those memories feel especially precious now.

Our hearts are with you. We are holding Patrick, Ciara and Carmel close in our thoughts and sending them all our love. We are also thinking of Claire’s great circle of friends who loved her so dearly on both sides of the Irish Sea—especially Sue and Flora, who shared much of life with her and brought her such joy.

Claire will be deeply, deeply missed. May her memory bring comfort, and may the love she gave so freely continue to guide and strengthen you in the days ahead.

May you rest easy and peacefully Claire .
Claire will be missed by her family and friends and all those who knew and loved her . I am so sad for you all ❤️🙏
