Dear Barbara.
Both Angela and I met Clem first in Limerick and several times after in the late 1970’s. We remember him well but we had not met him much since then. However I was part of a group mainly from Limerick who visited Coolmore some years ago and Clem organised a fabulous day out.
We all had a meal with you both that evening at your lovely home. Clem was a delightful guy to meet again at his home with you and some family that were present. He was a great character and presence in any company. He is a big loss to so many in his equine world. His biggest loss will be felt by you and all his family. RIP Clem.

Barbara and Family, Sorry to learn of Clem's death. A Gentleman. Thinking of you all at this very sad time.

I was in the same year as Clem in Rathmines and we graduated in 1972. Our fellow students were a group of outstanding people, many of whom went on to have very significant careers in various walks of life. The I lost touch with Clem after our student days but, I was very aware of how he rose to the very top of the bloodstock industry. This didn’t surprise any of us who remembered him from our Rathmines days. He was a smart guy, great company and an absolutely fearsome competitor on the rugby pitch. May he rest in peace.

Clem was a wonderful former colleague in PriceWaterhouse who I was fortunate to play a little Business Houses rugby with and to join him and some Limerick friends in a small Horseracing syndicate He will be sorely missed by his many friends.Clems ability was reflected in his hugely successful business career but he always retained his warm unassuming personality.Deepest sympathy to Barbara and all of his family

He was a gentleman, with a great sense of humour. He loved the banter and slagging. He never forgot his friends and was always exremely happy to meet them.
I was very sorry that I could not attend his funeral, but I watched the mass in Marbella

We knew Clem when we all studied at College of Commerce and had happy student days. Clem was so bright, so nice and keen on sport He joined Atkins Chirnside to complete his accounting and through firm mergers he joined Price Waterhouse where we all highly respected him He left to join Coolmore where he was so successful. I met him in the Beggars Bush in recent years occasionally after internationals So sad to hear of his early passing and sincere condolence to all of his family
