I’m grateful to have shared many great conversations with Clem and will miss his visits. I hope he is with those he loves, along with one day being re-united with his adored Darcy, and is now at peace!

Sincere sympathy to all your cousins, relatives and friends. I was very upset and sad to belatedly hear of your passing Clem. I was shocked to hear that you had passed away so quickly. I visited you some weeks ago in the CUH and we had a nice chat and you were very eager to get back home to your own place and meet your favourite cat Darcy. Unfortunately, this was not to be.

I remember with great fondness our weekly meet up in the South County in Douglas with our gaelgeoirí group and share our interest in the Irish language. I'll also miss our meet up every so often to go and have a meal and a chat together.

You were a man of strong views and a champion of social justice and we shared our mutual interests in that area.
Will miss your company Clem !

Clem was a valuable member for many years always attending our monthly meetings and a great help at our annual cat shows. We always enjoyed hearing about his faithful Darcy who was an enormous part of Clem's life.

I had the privilege of getting to know Clement in Douglas Library, and he’d often pop in for a little chat at the Central Library in Grand Parade. We became good friends over time, and it was always a pleasure to meet him.

He radiated kindness to both people and animals, and I will miss the updates about his beloved cat Darcy. A true gentleman, kind, genuine; he will never be forgotten. My sincerest condolences to the family.

He had so many interests and always kept himself busy, learning new languages, reading, going to the cinema with his friend, doing courses. He was always happy to tell of the latest adventures of his beloved cat Darcy! I always enjoyed chatting with him. He will be missed around Douglas and beyond. Rest in Peace Clem.

Clem held a major part in the life and soul of Douglas village. He lived life to the full, he enjoyed the company of people and held a deep interest in life and its workings, this passion would leave you enthralled with his findings.

Above all Clem was kind, considerate and respectful to both the human and animal world. Far and wide his glowing accounts of his beloved cat Darcy are legendary.

Clem was a very valued friend and customer of the South County, we looked forward to his visits, he held many friendships with us and we will all miss him dearly.

Sadly another bright light has been extinguished in Douglas Village today.

We had the privilege of knowing Clem for many years, a connection forged through our time together at Swissco. He was genuinely kind-hearted, a man with his own special charm who was loved by all. Our friendship extended beyond work; we visited him in Ireland, and he even traveled to Germany to see us. While distance kept us from the constant closeness others shared, our fondness for him remained, and he will be greatly missed.

I'm so saddened to hear of the passing of Clem. He was a class mate in Colaiste Mhuire/DCS and I will always remember his gentle soul and kind heart. I took the bus home with him after our 50th class reunion last year, he was thrilled after meeting all his old classmates again. That was a great night out I really enjoyed that he said in his sincere way. Rest in peace Clem, you were one of a kind.
