To all the Stokes family. So sorry to hear of Clives passing. As a 4/5 Yr old Clive used to entertain us on an evening basis when we returned from work to 24 lakelands. At that stage he already had a massive imagination and was a great kid to dream and tell stories of what happened in his life that day. He reached for the stars then and has gone from you all too early. Rest in peace Clive .

Well my friend, I couldn’t write anything earlier from hearing the devastating news.
We literally grew up together here in those first years of our time in Bangkok. We met through a chap called Vince Goldie, and started our first teaching gig at Krungthep Vitied Suksa-the early years- and subsequently became best mates. We lived a few doors down from each other for many years, moved around with our girlfriends, and taught a few schools together-the good old days!

You got my an interview at ASCS whilst you were at BCC over the road. While there you said that to become a better teacher and to solidify my future I should go back and study. So, I took those wise words and went to study

Well, I’ve done with Ram uni now and on to the next which is following in your footsteps yet again.
Unbeknownst to you you inadvertently put me in an amazing position I’m in in my life. Because of you I married the most amazing woman (you never met, but spoke to), I have a beautiful baby girl.

If you hadn’t of got me that job at ASCS I wouldn’t be where I am now pal…
We never did get to do that 3hr marathon which we planned, did we! We will get it one day, if I remember we said sub 3hr…

Take some well earned rest pal, you deserve it. Thinking of you, and I will see you
