Sending Caroline, Daniel, Fintan, John & Joseph et al much sympathy and love. I feel very lucky to have known Clodagh and experienced many adventures together. Our years in UCC, our Greek Erasmus time, Dublin, London, Manchester, scuba diving off Sicily were all great fun but developing and directing her one woman show Lauren Begaun for the Fringe was a creative collaborative highlight. I was privileged to attend her wedding and to sneak into the hospital when Fintan was one day old for a quick hug on a flying visit. Seeing what a beautiful adoring mother she became made me so happy. Clodagh lived life to the full and felt everything in full. She will stay in my heart forever xxx Kate

I have such fond memories of the times Clodagh and I spent together in the 90s, in UCC, going to the US and even Greece! But Glengarriff was the most special of all. An enchanted place and an enchanted person. I'm so sorry I couldn't be there to pay my respects in person. I feel lucky to have known her.

I’m heartbroken at her passing.
Clodagh was one of my very first friends after moving to Ireland. When I started immersing myself in the Dublin acting scene in the early 2000s, I became part of The Attic where I met a whole host of amazing people. Clodagh was bubbly, with an infectious laugh & an open, embracing personality. She shone from the inside & had a wicked sense of humour. And she was a terrific actress. We loved nattering over coffee, complaining about all the woes actresses had to face!
I always adored the portrait Francis O’Toole painted of her & now it feels to me as if he needed to capture her soul because it would only be here for a fleetingly short time.
Why are there such terrible people in this world who go on living their despicable lives in perfect health and such a generous, talented, beautiful, fun soul like Clodagh is not allowed to live her own artistic, engaged life, see her son grow up and grow old with the man she loves?
I had so hoped that the new treatment would be successful after the chemo stopped working and that the ‘white witch’-prophesy from her younger years, prophesying a full recovery, would come true. I thought, wished, prayed she’d have more time.
The work she’s done since getting her diagnosis, raising awareness and fighting for a younger screening age has been nothing short of astonishing.
I’ll miss you, Clodagh, and thank you for being my friend 💔

So very sad to hear of Clodagh's passing. I read her writings of her journey and she was so strong and brave to be a voice to fight for better health services and diagnosis. Its tragic because Clodagh is gone far too soon and so many people who love her, especially her husband, sister and brothers "heartbroken". Her spirit will live on on her son, she will be watching over him throughout his life.

We are extremely saddened by the news that Clodagh has passed away. We followed her closely in all the ups and downs in her struggle against her health challenges and couldn't but be impressed at her strength of body and mind.
