I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Murphy's passing. I had the privilege of being her pupil many years ago and I still think of her whenever I hear someone quote Yeats. She was an amazing teacher and had a way of making her subject feel magical. I always looked forward to her classes and she instilled in me such a love for English that I went on to study it at Trinity College - something I may not have done without her. She was kind and encouraging and I'll never forget how much she helped me. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Rest in peace lovely Ms. Murphy x x x
May I offer my sincere condolences to the family of Clodagh Murphy at this very sad time.

It was with great sadness that I heard of Clodagh's passing. Clodagh was an esteemed and well respected teacher and former colleague in Loreto, Foxrock.

Clodagh showed great kindness and friendship to me during my time in the school. She will be greatly missed by all.

Rest in peace dear Clodagh.
I am so sorry and deeply saddened to hear the news of Ms. Murphy’s death. She was an extraordinary teacher and made a huge impression on me, instilling a love of English that I’m forever grateful for. My sincere sympathies to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
Clodagh was a valued former colleague of mine in Loreto, Foxrock, a true professional who was friendly & kind to everyone. My deepest sympathies to the Murphy family - may she rest in peace.
I went to both Primary and Secondary school with Clodagh in Dominican in Dún Laoghaire and we were in lots of classes together. I remember her very fondly. We made our confirmation on April 6th, 1984 - it was actually Clodagh's birthday and I always remembered her on April 6th.

Sincere condolences to Ciara and Hugh on their immeasurable loss. Rest in peace dear Clodagh. xx
Clodagh, the wonderful tributes you have received are so well deserved.
Clodagh my friend and former colleague rest in peace.
Used to chat to Clodagh on my way to the hairdresser about her garden very sad news RIP Clodagh
I only heard the sad news of Clodagh's passing yesterday. My heart goes out to her sister, family and her dogs. I took over the helm for a short while in 2019 in Loreto College for Clodagh, she was so placid and thankful on her return. May she rest in peace now with her mum and dad.

" She will not be forgotten "

Remember me is all I ask,
And yet
If the remembrance prove a task,
Forget.

Deepest condolences - Ms Murphy’s kindness and guidance as a teacher made a lasting impact, and my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Ms Murphy’s classes were a highlight of my time in secondary school.
Her kindness and passion were truly unmatched and left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her.
May she rest in peace
I am very sorry to hear of the untimely passing of Ms Murphy. She was a funny, kind and caring lady who made our days in the classroom enjoyable and full of laughter. She was my History and English teacher for Junior Certificate and always encouraged us to speak our minds and gave us a safe space to be ourselves in the classroom. I have fond memories of our lively debates and funny moments playing games of Articulate as a class. I will always remember her kindness, gentle spirit, her encouragement and her love for her dogs. My condolences to her family and friends x
A wonderful teacher..may she rest in peace!
I fondly remember walking to school every day with Clodagh when we were in secondary school. I’m not at all surprised by the lovely messages here from her students. Deepest sympathies to her family and friends. Rest in peace Clodagh xx
Sincere sympathy to Clodaghs family and frends May she rest in peace .
Undoubtedly Clodagh was an outstanding teacher much loved by her students and their parents. The good she has done goes before her.
Go dtuga Dia suaimhneas síoraí dá hanam uasal.
Very sorry to hear of Ms. Murphy's passing. I had a rough time in Foxrock but I had such fond memories of her. She quickly became one of my favourite teachers, even popping her head in during a 5th year exam to give me chocolate for being the only one who wrote about her favourite poet, Derek Mahon. I will never forget her kind words and her fun take on teaching. May she rest in peace.
Condolences to Clodagh’s family at this saddest of times. The world has lost a bright light. Clodagh was clever and witty and kind. She inspired many young minds. May she rest in peace.
Thinking of Clodaghs' family and friends. I will hold close the great memories from our teaching days together in Foxrock x
Ms Murphy was one of those teachers who touched me deeply. I looked forward to her English class every day, her silly side and funny nature was a real escape for her students. Aside from that her loving and caring nature meant that learning was always made easy.

A huge loss and always in my heart.
Sincerest sympathy to Ms. Murphy’s family & close friends. May she rest in eternal peace 🕊
I am deeply saddened to hear of Ms. Murphy’s tragic passing. My thoughts, prayers, and sympathies are with all of those in her life. I look back at my time in her classroom with such fondness. May she rest in peace.
Rest in peace Clodagh. The sense of loss expressed by your many past pupils is testament to your lasting impact and deep dedication to the art of holistic education. Not only was your kindness and passion evident to your students; but also to a befuddled young teacher starting a career, far from her zone of comfort. I will never forget your kindness and support to me; I will miss our chats…. Especially my ultimately futile mission to inculcate a better appreciation of the fundamentals of hurling over Gaelic Football! You will be missed; may your soul finally be at peace. My deepest sympathy to your family.
So very sorry to hear of Clodagh's passing. I have fond memories of our chats in Abbey Court. May she Rest In Peace
A teacher who’s classroom I always felt safe to say whatever I felt and relax during the day into the subject
A wonderfully kind human xxxx
I did not know Ms Murphy personally but knew of her through my daughters who went to Loreto. They always spoke so fondly of her, of her teaching, and of her much loved dogs.
A gentle soul. The many condolences from the Loreto community show the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
May she rest in eternal peace.
So sorry to hear about the loss of Ms. Murphy. I have great memories of her over the years in loreto in both history & English classes. She was hugely respected, a powerful teacher and very kind to me losing my father in 5th year.
I only wish I had the pleasure to meet her again in more recent years.
Rest in peace Ms. Murphy ❤️
I’m so sorry to hear of Ms Murphy’s passing. Ms Murphy was one of the kindest teachers I ever had and had such a gentle soul. She was so graceful in times of difficulty she faced and provided such a haven in her classroom for learning, debate, and laughter. She not only taught poems on the curriculum, but would show us other poems which led to me learning my favourite poem, Atlas by UA Fanthorpe. I have will always, and will always think of her when playing the game Articulate, with so many great memories of playing it in her classroom on special days.
She seemingly never forgot a student. I like many others in these condolences, often chatted with her when I saw her out and about. She always recognised me and never forgot what I was now studying. She will be so missed.

Rest easy Ms Murphy, I hope you are at peace now.

My deepest condolences to Clodagh’s family, friends and all in the Loreto Foxrock school community at this very sad time.

Our conversations about gardening spring to mind when I think of Clodagh as she kindly tried to pass on some of her ‘green finger wisdom’ to me!

May she rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to Clodagh’s family. I remember the 2nd last class on a Friday was a day designated for debate in Ms. Murphy’s class. I was never fond of debating until Ms. Murphy created a safe and encouraging space for students to express their opinions on a range of topics. Her love for her dogs was clear from the stories and photos she shared between the teaching and the laughs. I’ll always fondly remember those English classes, and will never forget the feeling of joy Ms. Murphy gave us as pupils. Rest in peace 💛
Sincerest condolences to Ciara and all Clodagh's extended family , her colleagues and friends on their great tragic loss . May Clodagh now rest in peace RIP

Ms Murphy was a wonderful teacher whose classes I still remember with great fondness. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
So very sorry to hear of Clodagh's passing. During my time as an SNA in Loreto Foxrock, Clodagh and I had many pleasant chats along the way. May she rest in peace and be enveloped by the love of those gone before her.
I am a recent past pupil of Loreto Foxrock, and I am so sorry and devastated to hear of Ms Murphy’s passing. I don’t tend to look back on my time in Loreto Foxrock with particularly fond memories. However, thinking of the hours spent in Ms Murphy’s classroom always brings a smile to my face. She was a kind, caring, honest, warm and passionate teacher. Her classroom was full of laughter, chatter and learning, and was one of the few I never dreaded walking into. She really cared for each and every one of us, and we all adored her in return, as a teacher and mentor. It takes a very special person to become a teacher who leaves such an impact on her students. There are so many who could learn from her ways. I only wish she received the support and care she needed in return.

At peace now Ms Murphy x
Our sincere condolences to the family of Ms Murphy. We were so sad to hear the sad news of her death. She was kind , caring and encouraging to our daughters when in Loreto Foxrock. Our thought and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Very sorry to hear about Ms. Murphy. She was my most encouraging teacher sincerely interested in growing her students' love of reading and writing. My thoughts are with her family.
Clodagh was a valued colleague and friend in the English Department.
She was a much loved teacher and will always be remembered for her dedication and professionalism.
Clodagh was such a lovely, interesting and thoughtful soul. It's so sad that she could not find peace when she was so very much loved and appreciated, I hope she knew. She completely inspired our eldest daughter who came to love the subject English. Clodagh and Alex were proper pals by 6th year - we are all heartbroken that she is gone and we didn't communicate more / better with her so she knew how much she was valued and the difference she made. Sincere condolences to Clodagh's family.
It is with deep sadness that I reflect on the passing of Ms. Murphy. I only hope that she knew just how deeply her kindness touched so many of us. Her classroom was a place of peace—a sanctuary where we found not only learning, but also comfort on the most difficult of days. Her warmth, compassion, and the quiet strength she exuded made her class a place we looked forward to, not just for the lessons, but for the kindness she shared so freely.

Ms. Murphy’s grace was unparalleled. She carried herself with a gentleness born of understanding, and yet she always gave of herself with quiet generosity. It was her example that led me to become an English teacher too, and I carry forward the lessons of kindness, patience, and care that she so beautifully embodied.

She truly deserved more peace in her life, and I wish with all my heart that the world had been kinder to her. Her kindness will never be forgotten, and I will always remember her with deep gratitude.

Go raibh a leaba i measc na naomh agus go raibh suaimhneas síoraí uirthi.

Ms Murphy was a wonderful, kind and energetic history teacher. We must have been one of her first groups of students and she sparked a life-long interest in history for so many of us. I couldn’t believe she remembered me when we met years later and had a lovely chat.

Ms Murphy was such a passionate lady with a huge heart. Although she was struggling, she still made sure every student in her class met their potential & felt seen every day in her classroom. We are so lucky to be among those who experienced her love for teaching. I really hope she’s at peace now, the world was a tough place for her and I hope the pain she carried is gone now.

Ms Murphy was the kind of teacher who really saw her students and cherished them for that. All she wanted was for you to be who you were and do what you could. Her classroom was always a safe space full of laughter, light and learning. It takes an incredibly special person to make such a large impact on the children they teach.
