I was so sorry to hear of the death of lovely Colette, she was the epitome of a lady, always elegant and gracious and the very best neighbour you could want. Deepest condolences to her family from all of us in No. 13 Brighton Ave.
Sincere sympathy to the Roberts and Connolly Families on the death of my dear friend Colette.
I first met Colette when I started my first job after Commercial College in Suffolk Street. She worked in the Paperback Centre below. That was the start of a friendship that lasted over 50 years. We got married within a year of each other and I moved abroad. We always kept in touch and had wonderful times over the decades. I feel very privileged to have had lunch with Colette and Aileen in Brady’s when I was home at Christmas. Back to the house afterwards for ‘just the one’. Goodbyes were said. We continued our chats while in Our Lady’s Hospice, kept up with the Sports and had many laughs. Watching Colette’s Funeral Mass today online, brought all these wonderful happy memories flooding back. A bright light has gone out today. Forever loved. RIP. Mary MacEwan nee Dalton. (Dundee, Scotland)

Colette was such a kind, gentle person with a sharp intellect and wonderful sense of humour.
I remember when I lived next door to her during my college days Colette thoughtfully brought the blessed eucharist into my Granny Roberts every Sunday, 'a true lady' as my granny described her.
Her warm charisma, elegance and kindness will never be forgotten.

Besides her many other commitments she was activity committed in the role of minister in Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Harold’s Cross for many years. She also was a talented bridge player. I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Colette.

From the day I was introduced to her with my uncle Paddy she exuded kindness and poise.

She helped me when I was a student to source law books through her shop and did so in an unobtrusive and unfuzzy way.

When she married Paddy they truly completed each other and Angleview became a home. Colette bore the untimely loss of Paddy with great grace and stoicism.

She will always be fondly remembered by me as an intelligent, respectful, funny, kind and gentle lady.

May she rest in peace

Colm Roberts, Cork
