My sincere sympathy to all of Colette’s family friends and former work colleagues- she was a great teacher and great mentor. She and the late Dot Mullins brought their wisdom and common sense to their teaching and we all benefited so much. A good person becomes a good teacher and Colette was one of the very best.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Colette's passing. Colette was a great friend of our cousin Biddy Flynn and she visited our house on many occasions with Biddy. Colette and Biddy had great times on their travels and we know she was deeply upset when Biddy took ill. Following Biddys passing, we continued to visit Carlow and Colette opened her door to us and always made us welcome in her home.
Our condolences to Colettes family. We know she is now reunited with her family and with Biddy, and we're sure they will continue travelling the highways and byways of heaven.

I have very fond memories of Colette teaching me Irish in Athy Vocational School many moons ago. She was a very encouraging, kind and patient lady.

I was very sorry to learn of cousin Colette's death. I spent a lovely day with her last year visiting family graves and enjoying lunch in town. She was very much loved by my parents and would come on an occasional visit to them in Armagh with her sister Anne. My father, a Carlow man, loved them visiting and reminiscing about his beloved Carlow. It is nice to know that Colette will be enjoying her heavenly reward now with her parents and siblings. I offer my sincere condolences to Mary Clare, Anne, John and girls. They looked after Colette so well over the years.
