Just heard of Colin's death. I had the great experience and pleasure of singing under his direction in the RTE Philharmonic Choir. Colin was a wonderful musician and a wonderful person. Sincere sympathy to his family.
My deepest sympathies to Ann, Ben and Clement, Lucas, Jenny, Anne and Hilary,Roger and Beverley and all the family. Colin wrote beautiful choral music and was a great help to me as a young composer.

Wonderful memories of listening to to the choir of Westminster Cathedral in 1980s and the unique sound Colin Mawby generated from the men and boys. RIP
We express our deepest sympathy to Ann and the whole family on the sudden death of the admired and gifted musician and our dear friend, Colin Mawby. We are very thankful for the gift of his heavenly music, for his wonderful humour, his wise look at the world and for his friendship over so many years. May he rest in deep peace.
