Condolonescences to Deirdre and Ollie,Maureen.Mark and Suzanne on the sudden passing of Colin ...may he rest in peace.Lovely memories of him as a child coming to Ballinamuck to spend a day with the country relatives and ancestral O'Toole home.Thinking of you all at this sad time.
— Ita O'Toole,Ballinamuck and tipperary
We were so sad to hear about Colin's passing. Colin looked after our place in Clontallagh with such care, attention and good humour. Since we moved to Australia a couple of years ago, it has been so reassuring to know he continued to care for the place as if it were his own. Our friends and family always commented how nice it was to see him when he popped in just to check things were OK. And despite living on there other side of the world, he was always quick to communicate with us, and nothing was ever too much trouble. A true gentleman. We as a family are so sorry for your loss Deirdre.

Dearest Mark, Dierdre, Ollie and the O'Toole family. I am so sorry for your loss. When I remember moving to Bray at age 14 I can not remember it without remembering Colin and the Harbour. We lived across the road and for many years, it was an extension of our home. Our dog Billie certainly thought so. Every word Dierdre spoke today rang so true. I have missed seeing and chatting with Colin for a few years now and will miss him all the more now. My true lasting memory of Colin will be his laugh it as unique and genuine as he was himself. I am lucky to have known him.
Love Olwen

Deepest sympathy to Maureen, Mark, Suzanne, Deirdre and Ollie on the too sudden passing of Colin. He was a great cousin to me and I’ve so many memories of great times with him back when we were teenagers. We’d an amazing trip to Berlin together when we were 17 and Colin’s mischievous streak made it even more exciting - like convincing me to cross into east Germany one night without passports to see what was on the other side, or selling bits of the Berlin Wall to Japanese tourists! I always assumed we’d catch up again one day. He was a kind hearted creative spirit and a great loss. RIP Colin.
