Brian, Kay, Maeve, Seamas, Brian, Fergus, Niall and Adam, my deepest sympathies to all of you at this saddest of times. I expect you have many happy memories of Colm that will hopefully comfort you now and in the future, just as I do. The times Colm and I spent together in our teen years has left me with a wealth of memories that I treasure; the daily ride home from school on our bicycles, games of golf up at John Jacobs in Leopardstown on Wednesday afternoons(Colm usually won as he was a pretty good golfer), coffee in each others house after school, and hanging out in Glenageary and Sandycove during summer months. We were a bit like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn for our teen years (you can decide who was who). Colm was kind and funny and in hindsight, the sort of friend you would want to have in school. I always regretted that we lost contact as we grew up but I still have those abiding memories of the years we spent transitioning from boys to young men. He will be missed but we have comfort in the memories.
Very happy memories of our time working together in the Permo.
One of the funniest people I ever had the pleasure to know.
You will be missed Colm, gone before your time.
RIP.

Dear Kay and Brian , I am so sorry to hear of your heartbreaking loss. My sons Brian and Bobby have great memories of your son Niall taking them under his wing when we arrived in Glenageary Ave in the mid eighties. They remember your family as being really lovely. I can feel your pain as I lost my darling son suddenly just over a year ago and my 19 yr old grandson suddenly 6 weeks ago. The pain is unbearable but we can take comfort that they are at peace and happy and can never hurt again . Make your precious colm proud by your courage and strength as you go forward in life. Love, Marie.
