I would like to extend my sincere sympathies to Colm’s family. It was such a pleasure to work with Colm over the years and we became great friends. I will always remember Colm’s great humour and we had so much fun together. Most impressively, I would have shared some personal issues with Colm, they were never repeated, and that is testament to the type of person he was, of which there are not many of his calibre. Colm and his family will remain in my thoughts and prayers during this tragic time.

I had the privilege of knowing Colm as a work colleague and a friend for many years. He was a truly amazing and unique person. Patrica, I am so very sorry to learn of the untimely loss of your much loved brother, Colm. I can still recall from all those years ago how close you were. Although I only met Colm on a few occasions a long, long time ago, it is easy to see he was an exceptional person from the outpouring of warmth and love shining through these messages. I was very saddened to hear about the sudden loss of Colm. When we were little boys, I and Brendan Golden had played with Colm for years. We even called ourselves the BCG gang! At a time when we guarded our few treasured toys like gold, Colm was always very generous and would willingly lend us some of his.
