My deep condolences to Colm's family. Colm was a class mate at St. Aidans CBS. Very fond memories of his good humor and very positive nature. RIP Colm.

To, Lorraine, Robert, Ellen, and all the extended Chruch family I would like express my deepest sympathy to you on Colm's passing.
The say you can count your true friends on one hand and I was blessed to have had Colm as one of mine.
From junior infants, through primary and secondary school we ducked and dived and survived.
Every year at spring time, Colm got a mention in our family home on Shantalla Drive, when my mother would announce. "Colm's daf's are out Spring is here." He gave her a bunch of bulbs borrowed from St Anne's greenhouse where he worked for a time.
We shall miss his dry sarcastic wit, his ready smile.
Spike Milligan was asked how he would like to be remembered his simply reply was " Well remembered" and that is how Colm will be remembered.
"Happy to meet sorry to part" May your God go with you my best friend.

Lorraine, Robert, Ellen and the extended Church family, so deeply saddened to hear of the untimely loss of Colm. I met Colm for the first time on 25th June 1980 as we walked in the gates of Templemore. Colm was always a calm, relaxed, level headed person and an absolute pleasure to have worked alongside in the Drugs Squad and T Squad. It was great to have been in his company in May with former members of the Drug Squad. His kindness and thoughtfulness was very much appreciated. His loss is immense. May Colm RIP.

Sorry to hear of Colm’s death. I remember him from many moons ago in St Aidan’s. Sounds like he led a wonderful life of service to and care for all the communities he worked with throughout his life. My sympathy to his wife, children and to all his extended family.

I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Colm, however I did feel like I knew him, because Ellen always spoke of her father with such love, warmth and pride. It left a beautiful impression of what an amazing and wonderful person he was.

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss with the sudden passing of Colm. I have met many fine Policemen in my life but he didn't fall into that category. His fell into the category of absolutely great. Loyal, fearless, funny and dedicated. I count myself as being privileged to have met him. May he rest in peace.
