Very sorry to read of death of Colm. I shared a room with him in Dundalk in '73 and '74, when wr were stationed in Drumad. We were on the same unit there., we had many happy times, he was a great young man back then, and a great friend. I did not see him in recent years, but I remember him fondly . May he Rest in Peace.
I had the great pleasure of knowing Colm through the FBD Ras. I travelled in his company, with many others on the RAS for 14 years. He was a wonderful individual and I always felt better from having had a chat with him. He was utterly reliable, practical and one of life's true gentlemen.
Colm is one of those individuals you meet in life that you can truly say, "He made a real difference"
He will be sadly missed by all of us lucky enough to have known him. RIP
