Dear Eugene and Tony. Please accept my deepest sympathies on the sudden death of Colm. I had the pleasure of getting to know him; when we studied Science together in U.C.D. Because our names were arranged alphabetically, we worked beside each other. Colm was a wonderful travelling companion, a very enthusiastic attendee of historical society lectures and above all a kind, good friend. I am so glad that he lived life to the full when he retired. I know for a fact that he had a marvellous stay in his beloved Madeira this year. The Dublin Football team has lost a very loyal supporter and I will miss our regular lunch outings very much.
So sorry to hear of Colm"s sudden untimely death.
Colm. will be sorely missed from a work colleague
Tony and Eugene, how sad you two have lost your brother Colm.
I have never met neither Eugene nor Colm, but Tony's cheerful stories about what the three of you shared were a nice way to learn about bond between the Maguire brothers.
May Colm rest in peace.
Eugene and Tony please accept our deepest condolences on the untimely death of Colm. He had a huge interest in tennis and sport and fitness. He will be greatly missed in MLTC for his humour laughter and wit. We are all still in shock.

Tony and Eugene I am so sorry to hear of Colm's unexpected passing. Thinking of you and your family at this sad time.
Truly shocked to hear of Colm’s passing.
Colm was a rare kind. He wore an almost permanent, mischievous grin that was nearly always accompanied by a bout of raucous laughter. He had great curiosity and interest in many sports and loved to chat about the sporting stories of the day, especially when they involved his beloved Dubs. My memories of him in Monkstown LTC are many but I will focus on these - the racquet bag flung over his right shoulder, the baseball cap flipped on backwards, the grin as cheeky as you could imagine and an appetite to play and have fun that was rarely matched. He never listened when I asked him to stop slicing his forehand though! For that Colm, you’re forgiven.
Go gently and may your gentle soul Rest In Peace.
Johnny O’Shea

Colm, So sorry to hear of your passing. we miss you as one of the great personalities who loved life and made life lovable. You had opinions on almost every sport and, though you were sometimes wrong, it was always great fun to argue the toss with you. Your smile is captured in that photo and will be in our memories forever. Wherever you are travelling now, let's hope you are still smiling and looking down laughing at us in this sportless, fearful world.

I worked with Colm for years in St Michaels Hospital . Colm was a true gentleman , a very caring and thoughtful and responsible person. His sudden death has shocked us all. He was too young to go . Colm was a social magnet around the hospital and loved by all. His sudden death mimics his fathers passing . Colm lived his life to the full making the most of his retirement years which have been cut short by such a tradegy. May he rest in peace. Marie
